Very few people have been so „first“ as Yuri Gagarin, the first man on the moon. The author lets us look into his childhood, soul and cockpit, yet the main speakers here are those, who shared with him almost everything: his colleagues, frustrated rivals, devoted  stand-bys, strict scientists and ingenious constructors, who were all „cleared out“ mercilessly by the Soviet dictatorship.
