The Literature Night in Budapest is organised in cooperation with the member institutions of the local EUNIC Network.
 
Once again visitors can enjoy stage reading from the works of European literature writers, presented by actors from the Táp Theatre. The presentation will be of up to to 18 European books will take place on Saturday, 9th June 2012 in context with the current main Hungarian book event – the Week of Books.  All of the 15 member institutions of the local EUNIC  plus three associated members (Embassy of the Netherlands, Embassy of Switzerland and Fleming Representation) plan to take part in the event. The authors of the books will also participate in some readings; visitors can look forward to meeting Elina Hirvonen (Finland), Urs Widmer (Switzerland), Andrei Makine (France), Daniel Glattauer (Austria) plus many others. All the productions will run simultaneously at different locations, just a short walking distance from Vörösmarty square, the site of the Week of Book Festival.
