European Literature Night in Bucharest – reading until midnight on May 30th!

Ten cultural institutes made a selection of literature translated from 8 languages and published in Romanian and invited authors, translators, actors and media personalities to introduce the Bucharest public into the fascinating realm of contemporary literature during a three hour event. The Löwendal Foundation, located in one of the most beautiful of Bucharest’s parks, will host public lectures and performances on its premises, an elegant, heritage mansion the same evening as the opening of the landmark Romanian book fair, Bookfest. That evening, from 8.30 pm to 11.30pm, international authors present at Bookfest will interact with the public of the European Literature Night.
