Amsterdam

This year’s Literature Night will take place on the 16th of May, 2012 at the Public Library in Amsterdam. It is being organised by the Dutch Association of European Culture Institute of the EUNIC (European Union National Institutes for Culture) Network and the European Commission Permanent Representation in the Netherlands. As part of the Literature Night, each of the chosen countries will introduce one of their contemporary authors, who have had at least one book translated into Dutch. Noted Dutch literary critic Margot Dijkgraaf will be presenting Literature Night, leading discussion with each author. Representatives from the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Hungary, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Romania and the Great Britain will take part in the event in Amsterdam. The Czech Republic will be represented by Mr Tomáš Zmeškal.
