Daniel Kaiser: Disident Václav Havel

Translation: Teťjána Okopná, nakladatelství Tempora, 2012

Dissident Václav Havel

The book was published in the autumn of 2009 by Paseka Publishers as the first political biography of Václav Havel that was written in the criticism method, i.e. based on the studies of contemporary documents (including the archives of the Ministry of Interior made available for the first time at that time) as well as on extensive interviews with V. Havel and dozens of contemporary witnesses. It provides a reconstruction of Havel’s life up to December 1989, focusing mainly on his battle with the Communistic regime.
